Thigh Slimming Exercise #1:  Double Leg Raises

  • Lie down on your side.  Place your elbow firmly on the floor and support your head with your hand.
  • Now rest your legs one on top of another.
  • Lift the leg on top a little above the ground.  It should make a 60 degree angle with the floor.
  • Then lift the leg below, so that the leg below meets the leg on top.
  • You will have to balance yourself with the hand that is free.
  • Stay in the position for 5 to 10 seconds and then come back to the starting position.
  • This exercise is to be repeated on either side 10 to 12 times

Thigh Slimming Exercise #2:  Squats With A Ball

Slightly different than a standard squat, this squat uses an exercise ball, and is a an amazing thigh slimming exercise.  Place the ball between the curve of your lower back and the wall, and stand with you feet shoulder-width apart.  Keeping your body facing forward, bend the knees and lower your body.  Hold for a few seconds, then stand up again.  If you don’t have an exercise ball, the same can be done with back flat on the wall.

Thigh Slimming Exercise #3:  Kneeling Leg Lifts

A fantastic thigh slimming exercise and here’s what you need to do: kneel on all fours, hands under shoulders, knees under hips.  Lift the right knee out to the side, keeping it bent.  Hold for count of 5.  Lower.  Repeat with left knee.  Repeat 6 times each leg, increasing to 10.

Thigh Slimming Exercise #4:  Sideway Liftsthigh slimming

This exercise really works for inner thigh slimming.  In order to perform this thigh slimming exercise correctly all that you have to do is stand up straight.  And raise your thigh sideways.  Envision that someone is standing right beside you, and you need to kick them without bending your legs very much.  This exercise is simple, effective, and best of all,  it really works.

Probably not what you wanted to hear but half an hour of cardio, on at least 5 days of the week is one of the most important factors in your efforts to lean out the lower body.  Because targeted weight loss is not possible, an overall trend towards a healthy body weight is what will get you real results when it comes to getting slimmer legs.

If you are not at a healthy BMI, a proportionate body and toned lower body will be immensely difficult, so focus on this important basic element first.

Lastly, it is going to take a well-balanced plan between a total body workout, thigh-toning exercises, and also a balanced diet to get slimmer thighs.  The simple truth is that to make your thighs slimmer, you have to burn fat, and the only way of doing that is to burn more fat than your are consuming.  Make sure that when you do these thigh slimming exercises outlined above that you combine them with strength-training, regular cardio, and a well balanced diet 🙂

Little by little as we began to digest all of the information that was being thrown at acting insulin, short acting insulin, lancets, test meters, test strips, ketone sticks, carb counting, food groups, glucagon emergency kits, insulin pumps, glucose monitors...OMG, my head was spinning like a top!! After a couple of crazy years, I can happily say that I am well controlled and feel absolutely amazing! Not to be lost in all of this either is the amazing support of my wife. She has been my rock! She has been with me every step of the way, from 2am finger sticks to helping me change out a failed pump in the middle of a crowded restaurant. She truly is an amazing wife and mom and I can't imaging my life without her love and support- love you babe!
